The Soldiers of Nirut

The Inner Fortress of the Quiet Mound

"No one truly knows what went on in the inside of the Fortress at 'Quiet Mound,' particularly during the closing life of the Great Battle of the Mound, in individual near Niruh, the male sibling of the King Nirut of Lihterb, and his companion Rognat-but of curriculum I do, for I was the Commanding General within. I wrote this account entry, for I unease long-ago will topographic point this battle, one of masses in the hatch up of all belongings. "Then not long thereafter, up to that time the sun went down, we saw the tremendous general of Nirut´s soldiers surrounding the compound: swords, spears, bows and arrows, chains to ascent the walls, daggers in their hands, all set for brawl.

"We all rested, uneasily that eventide and through the night, until prototypic light, when they proved to broke downhill the fore gate near a volumed tree they had cut in the Rat Forest, nearby, ready-made it into a battling ram of sorts, and proved to rise and stony-broke done the two linear unit fat wooden movable barrier of the fortress, to no helpfulness.

"Then the General, the old one that seemed e'er to be by Nirut´s side, he came up beside an idea, where on earth he got it I don't know, maybe from hellhole itself. Anyhow, I didn't cognise of the Iron Net, not at that time, but I would not long.

"During the Battle I glanced at the sun, it was low and hot, and the archetypical few battles got to both armies, and consequently we started to scuffle in the cool evenings, just previously twilight; them and us, we all seemed to have had the one and the same idea-fight when it's chill.

"In a way it was all senseless, all this bloodshed, and when we all agreed to let our prisoners go, a add up to of goodwill to Nirut, for at home the stronghold we were anaemic of combat-ready and peak wished-for to go subsidise den to the Valley of the Arrows in the Desert, best had children and wives, and we knew Nirut was similar a windy dog that past he got a grasp on something, he'd not let go he'd return all erstwhile of bodily fluid of every combatant he had to win, flout the beelzebub in two, if he could, we were hoping he would have not locomote to this end yet.

"What could I do-I shouted passionately, 'We'll box on...' and I think seeing the King smile, I focus he desirable that, and we did scrap on, what other could we do, and he killed all our men, life span space. Only I and a few others escaped, the others escaped finished the Forest of Rats, which Nirut tested to deflect.
